SHELLS OF EAST SINAI, AN ILLUSTRATED LIST. CYPRAEIDAE

Abstract: twenty-six species of the family Cypraeidae inhabiting the waters bordering East Sinai in the Gulf of Aqaba, the presence of which is confirmed by material in local collections, are listed and illustrated. This article is first published in TRITON 8, September 2003.

Table 1 contains the list of Cypraeidae, which we were able to confirm as living in the Gulf of Aqaba. They are illustrated on Plate 1 and Plate 2.
