BUCCINUM SUPERANGULARE
THORSON & ÓSKARSSON, 1962
FREAK OR FACT?
by M. E. Okon*) & D. Stratmann**)
Abstract: An earlier version of this article was published in the American
Conchologist Vol. 29 No. 3 September 2001. In 1962 a new Buccinid shell from
the east coast of Iceland was described. However, the authors believe it to
be a freak of Buccinum undatum L. 1758. Only further study of the few specimens
found can proveide definite answers.
BLASICRURA TERES ELATENSIS
AND BLASICRURA TERES NATALENSIS - TWO NEW SUBSPECIES
by E. L. Heiman*) & H. K. Mienis**)
Abstract: Blasicrura teres elatensis new ssp. from the east coast of Sinai
and Blasicrura teres natalensis new ssp. from South Africa are described.
SHELLS OF EAST

by E. L. Heiman *)

is not confirmed by material in local collections.
LESSEPSIAN MIGRANTS
DOING WELL IN THE ISRAELI MEDITERRANEAN SEA
by Singer B. S
Abstract:
A DEXTRAL SPECIMEN OF ALBINARIA
CRETENSIS (PULMONATA: CLAUSILIIDAE)
by Aydin Örstan*)
& Francisco Welter-Schultes**)
Abstract: The measurements of several conchological traits of a dextral shell
of Albinaria cretensis were found not to differ significantly from the group
means obtained for the same traits with sinistral A. cretensis shells. Several
aspects of the life history of the dextral snail, deduced from its shell,
were also similar to those of its sinistral conspecifics.
NEOLITHIC MALACOFAUNA IN THE
KYME EXCAVATIONS (ALIAGA), ON THE AEGEAN COAST OF ANATOLIA
by Alberto Girod *)
Abstract: The excavations conducted at Kyme (Turkey, West Anatolia) have confirmed
the presence of the Neolithic in this area. The Neolithic levels are closed
at the top by a level of grey clays containing fresh-water molluscs and a
land species. Some palaeo-environmental indications are possible.
